Wild orchids in Bloom

Finally got pictures of two Eastern Ghats orchids. Very very exciting!!.

   Acampe praemorsa (Banded Button Orchid).

Found lower at lowers elevations also. There are more orchids here but not in bloom. I am planning another trip sop hopefully found more orchids with flowers.

Last trip to East Godhavri forests was very exciting. I found few orchid species there. This was first time I have seen wild orchids in Andhra Pradesh. I went on december and it was not flowering season. I need to plan for a trip around Augest to find out exact species.
There were at least three orchids species.I got pictures of two species.

Luisia zeylanica from Rangaswamy Hill (65km from Bangalore)

(Need to recheck the species when it is in bloom, probably May 2010)
